In the small village of Renflorouc, Mickey, Voltaire, and K.O., all in their mid-20s, decide to break free from their mundane lives. Mickey, a Disney fan and assistant to a grumpy butcher named Ares, Voltaire, a petty crook and part-time philosopher, and K.O., a wannabe boxer, aim to ditch their pasta-eating days and set sail. But chasing dreams gets complicated.

LE COQUELICOT  

Une jeune femme, Noémie, déçue de la vie qu'elle mène, semble perdre petit à petit le goût de vivre. En effet, son travail dans un journal philosophique la ronge terriblement, et son petit copain, Yohan, ne semble plus parvenir à la combler en amour.

C'est à la lecture d'un livre de Schopenhauer qu'elle semble avoir trouvé le moyen de toucher le bonheur. Elle se consacre donc entièrement à ce qu'elle a toujours rêvé de faire, sa passion: la danse. Néanmoins entre le rêve et la réalité, Noémie va rapidement perdre pied.

DAISIES

A middle-aged Neo-Nazi and a young black boy clash while graffitiing the same wall. When the Skinhead runs out of paint mid-racist slogan, a quirky old man steps in to finish the artwork.

Production: Winner of the 2009 "Liberate Oli's Fridge" competition, providing young filmmakers with 35mm Kodak film, equipment, crew, and a 2000 EUR budget. Sacha Bachim’s script became Gänseblümchen.
